This policy explains how we handle your data within the framework of our research study.
We collect the following data to analyze sleep quality and stimulation effectiveness:
Motion Data: Accelerometer readings.
Sleep Metadata: REM phases and session timestamps.
Technical Identifiers: Participant ID (PID) entered by the user and device/app versioning.
Device Status: Phone volume at the time of stimulation.
This data is de-identified and is not associated with your legal name or any information that could reasonably identify you.
Data is retained for the duration of the research study and subsequent scientific analysis. While stored for long-term research purposes, all data remains protected by industry-standard encryption and strict access controls.
You have the right to request the deletion of your data at any time. To exercise this right:

Provide your: Participant ID (PID).
Upon receiving your request and verifying your identity via the PID, we will permanently delete your data from our laboratory servers and cloud storage within 30 days.
Your information is stored on secure computer systems in our laboratory and on the cloud. We use industry-standard encryption and access control measures. Access is strictly limited to authorized members of the research team.
